In comics, a crossover refers to a series, event or story which involves two or more series which overlap or multiple characters who share a series despite having their own series. This may include crossover series (for example, Spider-Man/Red Sonja) or a story which involves a main character from another series being used as a main or supporting character in another story.
Events are the most common cases of crossovers as events often take place over multiple stories across multiple series.
Multiple publishers may be involved in crossovers, or one publisher may use two of their own properties.
