Eve was the first woman that God created on Earth. According some sources, she might have been the second.
She was created to be Adam's wife, and she was created from the Earth itself, as well as her husband's rib. Along with Adam, she was deceived and tempted by the Devil, and she ate from the Tree of Knowledge, and thus causing sin to enter the world. Because of this, she and Adam were banished from the Garden of Eden.
