Dr. Marsh before his mutation.
Dr. Marsh was a scientist who was sent on a research mission. While on the mission, he, and a few others, were dragged underwater by a large squid-like creature, and held captive by a group of Mer-Men. The Mer-Men showed him to The Master, which drove him insane, and he tore out his own eyes. He then obeyed The Master, and became leader of the Mer-Men.

Marsh was about to sacrifice Gower when The Master told him that they were under attack, and Jana took that as an opportunity to attack the Mer-Men as well. Jana threw something towards Marsh, cutting off half of his hand.
Later, he mutated into a hideous creature and attacked Togg after Togg arrived to rescue Jana and Gower. Jana then threw The Sacred Blade into his head, killing him instantly.
