Gower was one of the crew onboard the C-123, but was captured by the Mer-Men. His crew mate, Jamison died on the way down to the underwater city, and Dr. Marsh was corrupted and turned evil, leaving Gower as the only one left.
After Jana Sky-Born was also taken, she was able to free Gower and they were rescued by Togg and Mike.
