TJ was the bodyguard for a TV crew who crash landed in a jungle. He was also part of a drug smuggling operation with crew mates Sky and Carole Ross. The Opium being smuggled in Sebastian's Plane was eventually discovered, and TJ and Sky were going to kill Mike and James, but they were surrounded by Dirt People.
The Dirt People killed Sky, and then they took the others as prisoners after Jana tried to reason with them unsuccessfully.
While they were trying to escape from their captors through a cave, a giant insect-like creature attacked and killed James Sebastian. TJ was struck in the chest with a spear shortly after, and it killed him instantly.
